I’m posting this at 07:07 on 07/07/07. So is this your lucky day?
Here are a few random facts about the number 7 (thanks to Wikipedia):
- It is the second lucky prime.
- It is the number of spots on a common ladybug.
- With very few exceptions, all mammals’ necks have seven bones.
- It is the code for international direct dial phone calls to Russia and Kazakhstan.
- It is the number of main islands of mythological Atlantis.
- The reason for 7 being a lucky number symbolically (such as in the Bible) is because it represents the union of man and woman, since the number for women is 4 and the number for men is 3.
- Flight 77 was used by islamic fundamentalists to attack the Pentagon on September 11th, 2001.
- Washington D.C. was situated exactly on the 77th Longitude.
- It is the number of openings into the human head (mouth, two eyes, two ears, two nostrils).
And if that’s not enough, here are 77 more things about 7.
Finally, there are several articles out there on this day of triple-sevens. Here are a few for your perusal:
