Catching up… January snow

Posted by Steve on April 19th, 2007

If you can make “catch-up” contributions to your 401(k) plan, why not to your blog? With that in mind, here’s my plan. Under the dictum that “a picture is worth a thousand words,” I’m going to start making posts containing a single image and just a few words about it. (The picture’s already said a thousand on my behalf, right?) So, for the time being, there will not be any elaborate photo albums or long-winded descriptions of home improvement projects. Just an image and a short description.

First in my series of single-image “catch-up” posts is this shot from last January.

I spent the month of January working from home. (It’s a long story, and since I basically don’t talk about my job on my blog, we’ll just leave it at that. However, you can glean part of the story from Tim’s blog if you are interested.) Anyway, with my temporary office set up in our dining room, I had a great view of the snowfall we had on the 11th. I was also able to get out and take a few pictures around the yard. This one is of a nandina plant in our front yard. As is the norm, the snow didn’t stick around for long. And neither did my days in the dining room. By early February, we were back in our downtown office.
