Spencer Butte

A couple friends and co-workers from the East Coast were visiting last weekend, and I felt obligated to give these city slickers a taste of life in Eugene. So, on Saturday morning we headed down to the Saturday Market, and then Tim & Kim joined us for a beautiful afternoon hike up Spencer Butte.

It had been several years — like, maybe 7 or 8 or more? — since I’d been “up the butte.” It felt really great to get back up there… and to know I could still make it up there without any trouble! My next mission will be to get Jen and Evan up there with me! We’ll see how it goes with a 20+ lb. child on my back….
