Evan enjoys salsa?

Yes, it is true. Evan loves homemade salsa! Steve has been making fresh salsa every couple of weeks with the tomatoes and peppers from the garden. Evan has consumed as much salsa as Steve and I have over the last month. He loves to eat it for his afternoon snack. He uses the tortilla chip as a spoon and eats mouthfuls at a time. He is definitely a salsa kid!

On the other hand, I’ve been told that a baby will often like foods their mother ate while pregnant and/or nursing!

That’s fantastic! I always wonder about small kids and spicy food. It’s nice that Evan has an appetite for something other than the bland, boring food a lot of babies eat. We too have loads of peppers and tomatoes and we’ve made a lot of salsa. But we have frozen a lot of it because Lucia is wary of eating spicy foods since she is concerned about tainting Clara’s food supply. She might be fine with it, but when you’ve got a happy baby that is eating well, you don’t want to rock the boat!
