Our new MacBook arrived a couple days ago! This is one of the brand new laptops from Apple running on a 2.0 GHz Intel Core Duo CPU. This new laptop, which will mainly be Jen’s computer, will replace the Graphite iBook that we previously used in the kitchen and family room area. We only ever had one problem with that “clamshell” iBook: we had to replace the CD drive because the eject mechanism kinda-sorta stopped working at one point. Other than that, it’s served us well for over 6 years! Amazing! But that’s a Mac for you….

The new member of the family — yes, I am still talking about the MacBook — is a real beauty. Apple’s industrial designers never cease to amaze me with their keen sense of style and uncompromising attention to detail. And with performance that rivals — and in some cases actually exceeds — that of the MacBook Pro, Apple has mastered both form and function. I suspect they’ll be selling a lot of these computers.
