10 for the price of 4!

For the first time in a a long time, I am taking time off from work between Christmas and New Year’s. In fact, it’s quite a good deal this year as I get 10 consecutive days off for taking only 4 vacation days! (The stock market is closed on both Monday 12/26 and Monday 1/2.) The time off will give me, Jen, and Evan some needed “down time” together, but we’ll also be seeing friends and visiting — and being visited by — family members. As usual, I’ve also got lots of projects to work on — namely, editing baby videos from Evan’s first 6 months and completing my overhaul of the web-based reality TV “pick ‘em” game that we host on our website. There’s also some yardwork to be done, and we need to make some decisions about a three major home improvement projects (i.e., kitchen remodel, backyard sidewalk/patio renovation, and roof maintenance or replacement). Alas, there is no scuba diving on the agenda yet, but we are determined to change that early next year.
