My birthday was on Wednesday, and we had a low-key celebration at home. Jen made a delicious dinner, homemade lemon ice cream (my favorite), and a birthday cake, as seen here. Gauss helped me open a few cards and a couple presents, too. Tonight, though, is the second part of the celebration. Jen is taking me out to dinner somewhere (it’s a surprise), and we are getting our first (non-family/friend) babysitter. It should end up being easy money for the babysitter, though, since Evan will (hopefully!) be sleeping soundly the entire time we are gone. It will be fun to go out to dinner again!
