Troutdale & Multnomah Falls

Posted by Steve on October 31st, 2005

29-Oct-2005This past weekend, the three of us headed up to Troutdale, OR, for a family wedding. Jen’s sister, Lyn, got married at Multnomah Falls. The ceremony was held outside, and unfortunately, the water coming over the falls was not the only water falling from the sky! But there were lots of umbrellas and everyone seemed to deal with the weather pretty well, including little Evan. He seemed quite content hanging off Jen in his BabyBjorn carrier. Lunch and cake were served after the ceremony. And as soon as I get them off my camera, I’ll post a couple pictures of the beautiful cake from Sweet Life Patisserie that we provided for Lyn and Rick. (We’ve mentioned Sweet Life in our blog before.) Both of us were more than a little nervous transporting the cake from Eugene to Multnomah in a car otherwise full of baby gear. Fortunately, Gauss was out at Country Inn Kennels with his buddy Ron!

Anyway, Evan did great on this trip, even managing to sleep through the loud, post-pizza conversation held in our motel room on Saturday evening. Of course, once everyone left, he woke up! But he went back to sleep shortly after and had an otherwise normal night. All in all, it was a successful trip!

Update: Pictures from the weekend have been posted!

My daughter wants to get married at Multnomah Falls. Can you have your sister-in-law, Lyn, send me the information?

My fiance and me really want to get married at Multnomah falls but we don’t have any idea how to get ahold of anyone that may run the falls. If you could ask your sister in law how she was married up at the falls that would really make Andrew’s and my day.

    hope you can help,
    Kristen
