There are a couple pieces out there that I’d like to point out today. The first is a serious editorial by the San Francisco Chronicle’s editorial staff about Bush’s use of conservative Christian “code words” in his speeches. This has been pretty obvious, I think, but the issue has garnered new attention with his recent Supreme Court nomination of Harriet Miers, about whom he claims, “I know her heart”:

The second piece (thanks to Tim and Kim for pointing this one out) is a very well-done and funny video starring Andy Dick about President Bush’s (fictitious) super-star speech writer, Harlan McCraney.

So, I suggest you read the editorial first, and then watch the video. It should make for an interesting lesson in contrasts. Enjoy.
