As most of you know, I have not been diving since last September. Now that Evan has been born, I’m ready to get back into the water and decided to start with a refresher dive in the pool.

Last night, Steve and Evan went with me to the local pool where a Eugene Skin Diver’s Supply class was in session. I met Jason, a friend and divemaster, at the pool, and he agreed to work with me on my diving skills. I was really glad that Steve and Evan were there because they provided many encouraging words each time we surfaced. I was very rusty and had trouble with some of the skills, but after a little review and practice, I correctly completed them. I also tried out my new mask, and reviewed how my computer and other equipment worked. Now I’m ready to head out to the open water and do some real diving.
