Yesterday was our 6th wedding anniversary. It’s kind of hard to believe we’ve been married that long (and even harder to believe that we’ve been together over twice that long!). Time sure does fly when you’re having fun! Last night was very nice. Jen went to great lengths to make the evening special for us. I arrived home from work with a dozen pink roses in hand. Jen had cheese & crackers sitting on the counter, and she poured us each some sparking water and served it with a wedge of lime. Dinner soon followed, and what a nice surprise that was. Jen made our favorite salmon recipe and served it with lemon rice and (you guessed it!) homegrown zucchini sautéed in lemon juice and butter. Mmmmm, tasty! Later in the evening, we exchanged gifts and enjoyed a delicious lemon cake from Sweet Life Patisserie, which just so happens to be where our wedding cake was made!
