Evan’s 3-month Tile

Posted by Steve on August 26th, 2005

Last weekend we went down to one of our local do-it-yourself pottery places, Brush-Fire, and made a tile with Evan’s hand and foot print on it. We’re calling it his 3-month tile even though it’s a couple weeks early, and we plan to do a couple more, one at 6 months and one at [...]

Tomatoes, zucchini, and squash — oh my!

Posted by Steve on August 22nd, 2005

Take a look at the gorgeous produce coming from our garden right now! We’ve been enjoying handfuls of Sun Gold cherry tomatoes for 2-3 weeks, but now the Early Girl tomatoes are ripening up quickly. Of course, the zucchini continue unabated. Want some? (Hahaha!) I found another 20-incher hidden under some leaves! I decided [...]

Then, after we had been home for a couple weeks, Jen’s dad and step-mom visited right after the 4th of July. This was followed by a visit from Jen’s brother [...]

In this day and age of cost reductions and outsourcing, Joel bucks the conventional wisdom and makes a case for quality. Here’s an excerpt:
Essentially, design adds [...]

6th Anniversary

Posted by Steve on August 2nd, 2005

Yesterday was our 6th wedding anniversary. It’s kind of hard to believe we’ve been married that long (and even harder to believe that we’ve been together over twice that long!). Time sure does fly when you’re having fun! Last night was very nice. Jen went to great lengths to make the evening special for [...]
