Garden Progress
Posted by Steve on July 2nd, 2005 Our garden is by no means prolific, but we are enjoying our best gardening success ever. The past couple years have been plagued by various problems (wrong kind of dirt was used initially, root invasions, etc.), but this year, despite a late start, we are finally achieving a little long-anticipated success. We’ve already harvested several zucchini. Salad greens are next. The tomato plants look wonderful, and the pole beans and squash are well on their way. The peppers are the only thing not doing as well as they should, but I’m going to blame this on the lack of hot, sunny days so far. It’s looking like the weather may be turning in the peppers’ favor soon, though. We’ll see….
