What does one do with 11 lbs. of zucchini?

Posted by Steve on July 31st, 2005

This morning I went out to check on the garden since it had been almost a week since either of us had done anything more than glance it from the cool comfort of our air conditioned house. I was shocked (ok, not really) to find several oversized zucchini. I brought them inside and weighed [...]

Posted by Steve on July 31st, 2005

I got to go diving yesterday for the first time since mid-April when I participated in the Disney Dive Quest program at Walt Disney World’s Epcot Center. My last cold water dive was way back at the end of February!

Garden Progress

Posted by Steve on July 2nd, 2005

Our garden is by no means prolific, but we are enjoying our best gardening success ever. The past couple years have been plagued by various problems (wrong kind of dirt was used initially, root invasions, etc.), but this year, despite a late start, we are finally achieving a little long-anticipated success. We’ve already harvested [...]

Posted by Steve on July 1st, 2005

A 646-pound catfish is possibly the world’s largest freshwater fish ever recorded. It’s a shame they killed it.
