Bath day

Posted by Steve on June 28th, 2005

Today was (without being planned as such) “bath day” in our house. Both of our boys had baths today! I took Gauss down to the dog washing place for a long overdue bath. Jen and I normally do this together, but today it was just me and him. He was such a good dog for [...]

3 weeks tomorrow

Posted by Steve on June 28th, 2005

Tomorrow (Wednesday) is a big day for a couple reasons. First, Evan will be 3 weeks old! He continues to do very well. He is on the “3-hour meal plan,” and he makes sure to get his money worth! Other than being totally sleep-deprived, Jen is doing really well, too. She is a great mom!
The [...]

Posted by Steve on June 11th, 2005

Hi everyone. Evan is doing really well. The doctors have no concerns at this point about his heart. The blood problems currently appear to be working themselves out, and we’re expecting a complete recovery in just 2-3 more days.
It’s been a challenging time emotionally, but the doctors and nurses have been fantastic here! We’re [...]

Where’s Evan?

Posted by Steve on June 9th, 2005

Many of you have noticed that Evan’s picture has not appeared on the Sacred Heart website. The reason for this is that Evan had to leave the hospital in Eugene on Wednesday afternoon and be transported to Doernbecher Neonatal Care Center in Portland. The doctors in Eugene noticed a couple issues with his heart and [...]

It’s time!

Posted by Steve on June 8th, 2005

Oh boy. It’s 2:55am Wed (6/8) morning, and we’re at the hospital. We’ve been here since about 10:45pm Tue night. Jen started having sporadic contractions around 7pm. By 9:30pm they were really painful and were coming every 3-5 minutes. The doctor told us to head to the hospital.
Things were pretty tough for Jen for a [...]
