While it was not without its challenges, my attic ladder project went pretty well last weekend. I couldn’t help but be a little nervous when it came to sawing through structural members of our house. But it went well. I was able to get the attic ladder installed and the entire attic space above the garage insulated. (The insulation wasn’t really necessary for creating the storage space; it was more an effort to try to mitigate the temperature swings we currently experience in the garage throughout the year.) Anyway, there’s really just one more step — that is, installing some plywood flooring — before it becomes the new dumping ground… er, I mean… “useable storage space.”
